When you click Join D1Scout , you will be asked to provide some basic information about your program to help us prepare for your build and establish your account. Once we receive your registration, a D1 Representative will contact you within one business day to begin the site setup process.
During the initial consult (about a 10 minute call), we will determine your site objectives and preferences relative to banner design, use of existing school assets (logos, mascots, crests, etc.), preferred colors and how you would like your site to fit within your school's overall brand.
From there, D1Scout's designers take over to create a customized presence, including banners and a page template for your approval. Once finalized, we will complete your site framework, including creation of individual homepages for each sport in your program.
We can typically have your site ready in less than 5 business days once we've conducted the initial consult and received your design assets (school crests, logos, mascots, etc.).
Once your site is complete, a D1Scout Representative will contact you to provide a brief training session to make sure you are comfortable with your site's functionality and operation.
D1Scout sites come with the ability to turn Advertising and Sponsors on or off depending on the level of service you have signed up for.
Advertisers can be added through the Ads Management Administration section once you are logged in and have clicked the "Ads & Sponsors" Button.   Fees for advertising and sponsors should be collected by you. D1Scout does not charge you an fees for your display Ads or your sponsor banners. There are 6 locations for advertisers and sponsors on your D1Scout site. There are 5 spots on the left or right gutter depending on the site template you are using. That location is called a Skyscraper and you can add banners with dimensions: 145 X 60, 145 X 90, 145 X 145, or 145 X 240. Note** Please make sure the banners supplied by your advertisers and or Sponsors conform to these dimensions for the vertical "Skyscraper" section. The 6th location is at the very bottom of your site and is called a leaderboard. Its dimensions are 728 X 90. You can create or upload as many banners in these various sizes that you want the system will automatically start cycling the banners when you have more than 5 loaded for the Skyscraper and more than 1 loaded in the leaderboard section. D1scout by default pre-populates the advertising section with National Ads. They stay on the site until you add your own Sponsor or Ads. Once you start adding ads the system automatically removes on of the national ads and places your add in its place. D1Scout retains the bottom 5th position for its national advertisers at all times for supplying the Advertising Service Module free of charge. D1Scout also cycles 1 out of every 5 leaderboard ads based on the quantity you have uploaded or entered into the System. Remember that this is all based on impressions and thus the system keeps count of all visitors to your site and the ads they view. You can upgrade this service and supply impression statistics to your advertisers and sponsors if you wish. |
